Newest, low competition high demand product on clickbank!
Dear Affiliate Marketer,
Thank you for your interest in promoting the home energy audit kit. The kit as offered on clickbank has several advantages you simply will not find on any other product on clickbank.
it is completely unique. No other product on clickbank or the web can compete with the kit. It is the first of its kind
because it is so new and unique, you'll enjoy very very limited competition. This leads to higher conversions and profits for you
you will be offering a product that every homeowner and renter simply needs to have, which means incredible market potential
incredible repeat value. The kit can be used again and again by your customers for the one time fee. This is not a buy it and forget it product
How to get started!
Join Clickbank, if you don't already have an account - it's free to join!
Once you get your clickbank id, either use the link builder within clickbank to generate your url, or enter your clickbank id in the form below. I the page will automatically generate your own custom marketing materials with your clickbank affiliate id
built in!
Your affiliate page is: http://XXXXXX.utilitybil.hop.clickbank.net
You can start promoting the product and site immediately! Affiliates have had good success with PPC (pay per click) campaigns starting out,
then building traffic through article marketing and email / mailing list campaigns. This is an excellent complementary product to the numerous solar / wind / alternative energy plans out there, even on clickbank,
because it shows people how to save energy no matter what the source!
Your goal is to attract and send as many visitors as possible to the landing page of this site, so the sales script can do its job. For your troubles, you will earn a full 75% commission for each sale.
I don't fool around by giving you a "tier" approach where only top affiliates earn bonuses and up to 75%...you get 75% per sale, no exceptions.
More info about the energy saving kit
The kit was designed to be the first complete home energy audit kit of professional quality online today. It combines the knowledge of government testing (which is incomplete at best)
with professional energy auditing that normally costs hundreds of dollars. The kit contains:
the energy saving inspection guide
printable energy audit sheets
energy audit worksheets (in xls excel format)
sample of a filled out worksheet
energy loss calculators (in xls excel format)
heating estimator calculator (in xls excel format)
free energy tips guide
developing an energy saving plan guide
home buyer's energy checklist
Combined with the instructions in the guide, the kit contains everything a homeowner or renter would need to see how much money is being lost and how much could be saved in energy. The calculators translate energy lost into $$$,
so a price tag is associated with common energy problems.
This information is so powerful that every home in America should have it - and every home truly needs it. It's your job as an affiliate to see that happen!
FYI...I put borders on them so you can see the dimensions of the ad, since the background colors "match"...to remove them simply replace the border="1" with border="0" when you copy and paste the code.
Publishing articles is a great to generate genuine, interested sales leads. Each of these articles is packed with useful information that nearly all article and distribution sites will accept for publishing.
The only stipulation is nearly all such sites will not allow affiliate links in the article body or signature line. So you'll probably need to replace the url at the bottom with your own blog or website URL that has a link
to your affiliate site.
Try doing a web search for "free article submission", or give these a try:
Copy and paste the plain text into the article body of the article site you want to use. Be sure to replace the urls! (TIP: You might also want to try rearranging sections
or reworking/rewording some of the article to make it unique!)
Blog entries are a lot like articles - except they can contain affiliate links, be much shorter, more straightforward, and don't have to adhere to a certain topic. Many blogs talk about energy in one post, and
relationships in the next one. Others are geared strictly towards energy. There is more flexibility with blogs, including the ability to comment. A good strategy for getting traffic to your affiliate site from
a blog is to comment frequently, on topic of course, and include your affiliate link. I've included some comment templates you can use after a couple of sample blog posts.
Feel free to use articles as blog entries as well! They work very well, and can be reused as often as you want with no restrictions.
In all instances, I'd recommend placing your affiliate link behind link text like this:
Here are some short, sample comments you can use. Always remember to include your affiliate link, and keep the comment on topic:
Email campaigns can be insanely profitable if you have a dependable list to market to. Here's a couple of proven emails that contain strong calls to action and literally force your readers to click your affiliate link.
Tip: If you don't have a list, or need to blast your message to more lists, try these sources:
You can also look at renting opt in lists, based by geographic or target categories in google or another search engine.
Tip: In the emails below, replace {firstname} with whatever your email program uses! And always remember to include an unsubscribe link (which is usually done for you automatically).
These can generate a ton of traffic...if you use them carefully. Here's some HTML code you can use to covertly give your visitors a
pop-under to your affiliate site seamlessly. (If you'd rather show them a different landing page or something on your site, just replace the url with your own!)
Option 1
Paste this into the <head> of your html:
...and in the body tag, place this code to load the window when the page is loaded...
...or, to load the window when the visitor leaves the page...
Option 2
If you just want to load the pop under as the page loads, just put this somewhere after the body tag:
Don't let prospects walk away - always give them something of value for leaving their contact information so you can contact them again! I've created
three guides for you to give away as you see fit:
When Energy Star is NOT Energy Smart
The 2008-2009 Energy Report
10 minutes to 10% off your energy bill
Here's the cool part - I will customize the guides for you, with your custom web address on the guides. David Andersen now "writes" for you! Just email me with the web address you want on the guides.
There are a couple of requirements for this, both are relatively easy to attain:
must be a registered clickbank affiliate
must have a proven affiliate track record (at least 5 sales)
Why are these requirements in place? The first should be obvious. The second is in place because I want to give all affiliates the best chance possible to succeed! Your success is my success too! But there are many freeloaders who just want to take everything they can get their hands on and aren't serious about selling this kit.
I firmly believe that this is the best new opportunity on clickbank and I want serious affiliate marketers to help me realize that vision.
Once you sign up and I send you the customized freebies, I'll let you know when more are available - and you'll get them automatically!
That's even more marketing materials for you.
More promotion ideas
Forums - Forums and message boards are an excellent way to generate really nice traffic. Sign up at a relevant forum. An example of a relevant forum would be a subject to do with DIY (do it yourself) projects, energy efficiency, alternative energy, home and garden, energy tips, green energy, etc. The most important part is your message and replies to posts - keep them on topic and relevant. In your signature, always put a link to your affiliate site,
or another site that you might use to promote it. Participate once or twice a week. Some great forums are:
Forum 1
Blogs - Start a free blog at wordpress, google (blogger), aol, etc. Create a home energy or energy saving blog. Take a few energy saving tips and add in some auditing tips from the articles.
The most important goal is to get as many visitors to click your affiliate link so they land on this site. And don't forget to make sure your blog has RSS feeds - many times people will pick up and follow RSS
feeds then publish the content on their sites. This is more exposure for you. I'd recommend connecting your feeds to feedburner, which will give it more publicity. And if you have a domain,
download and install wordpress, a free blogging tool.
Answer sites - The most popular answer site right now is yahoo answers. Look for relevant questions, and answer a few to get your credibility up. It can be in any area. Upload a photo/avatar to make yourself more genuine. Then focus on relevant home energy posts. If you need help answering a question, shoot me an email. I'll give you my best answer - \
then you can take the credit for it! For relevant posts, recommend your site that has your affiliate link to this site.
Go "Web 2.0" - Use sites like twitter, facebook, squidoo (all are free), as well as youtube, to promote your pages. All have excellent visibility and a high
visitor count that are begging for information like this.
News groups, news lists and public lists (such as the ones on yahoo lists) often have nice groups that you can join, participate and advertise to at little or no cost.
Pre-selling website tips
Get your own website. It costs next to nothing per year, and you can customize it as you see fit.
Post a picture of yourself on your site or blog. Let people know that you're real. Introduce yourself, and talk to your visitors one on one. People can detect a pure marketing effort and are turned off easily.
But if you talk to people regularly and honestly, they are much more likely to be comfortable with you and your site, and buy from you.
By all means, collect their email address so you can keep contact with them, but do it subtle. Don't use obnxious pop up boxes, callouts, or anything sneaky. And definitely offer them someting in exchange for their email. Use the freebies on this page, or write up a one or two page doc
about your personal experiences, recommendations, etc.
Keep your website third party, or "separated" from the DIY Energy Saving Kit product. You don't want to come across as an affiliate who has something to gain by selling
something. Keep it neutral. Give honest reviews. Don't over hype and try to sell-sell-sell.
Make at least 4 pages on your website: a home page, a contact us page, and about page, and an faq page. Of course you can add more, but your website should be more than just a page or two - this signals the site is a "marketing flyer" that your visitors will run from.
There are hundreds of free website templates out there. Try doing a google search for "free website templates" and pick an appropriate one. What I like to do is download a free template, maybe change a color or two and add a new graphic at the top. This keeps my sites looking unique, fresh, and new.
Some recommendations...
Except for PPC and traditional advertising, I'd recommend setting up a free blog, forum, or standard website to promote this site. Why? If you attract customers to your blog or website, you have the chance to build rapport with them, even set up a mailing list.
Your customers are more likely to buy from you if you keep in constant contact with them...
Plus, it gives you the chance to add your own spin or publish your own articles / materials in support of this site and the kit. It's one thing to just blindly send customers to this site.
It's another thing to write about the kit, benefits, drawbacks, etc, and post this on a site.
Having your own relevant site has another advantage - many article and self publishing sites don't accept affiliate programs or affiliate program links directly. This means you can not put your affiliate link in the article signature or body.
The way around this is to send the clicks from your helpful article to your site, which recommends they visit your affiliate link to this site!
Don't just rely on Google Adwords! There are many other alternative PPC opportunities out there that offer a lot of traffic with lower cost per click for top keywords! Alternatives include:
I'm working on making more marketing materials, and when they are ready I'll post them to this page. If you need something more immediate, email me
what you have in mind or what you need and I'll try to get to it ASAP. You'll find I'm pretty responsive, and will respond to you usually within 24 hours.
Can I write my own articles, blog entries, emails, etc?
Absolutely! The ones I gave you are just a start!
What's the best way to promote this kit?
Easy question, not an easy answer. The truth is every homeowner is America would benefit from this kit. Anyone who pays energy bills will benefit. Any medium that is cost effective
and will let you reach them is absolutely viable. I've even had tremendous success in the pilot program of this kit hanging $.01 flyers on people's doors in my neighborhood!
What do you see as the biggest selling point? What should I talk most about or "play up?"
The energy calculators. They are simple, but so amazing. They are versatile and flexible but powerful. You can use them to predict your energy costs, predict energy usage,
see past energy usage, find out how much energy "holes" are costing you, estimate heat loss, determine how big of an appliance you need to heat or cool a room, and so much more. The kit even includes examples of the
calculators in actual usage, so you can see how they are used. If its energy related,
you can probably figure it out using the calculators. The kit also includes a reference guide to the calculators with great tips and tricks. The calculators give you more information than an energy professional ever could. Plus, they're in excel format - so anyone can use them.
Can you recommend a good webhost, registrar, and email campaign company?
Sure - I'd recommend Dreamhost for webhosting and domain registration. Their hosting is around $119 per year, and that includes unlimited domains and nearly unlimited space. It has more than enough power to host your site, plus one click installs of free blog, cms, and forum software (no, I don't get a commission or anything by recommending them.) The thing I like about their domain registration is they offer free private domain registration, so your details
are not included in the whois record for your domain. Godaddy charges $10 extra for this. Dreamhost gives it to you free. For email marketing, I've used iContact with good results. It has autoresponders, mass mailings, html email, and double opt in support.
